I was asked by Seachdain na Gàidhlig (World Gaelic Week) to be an ambassador for the event in February 2023! As part of this role, I planned a Gàidhlig youth culture event at 'Bonjour', the queer night club in Glasgow. I created a series of social media posts to announce the line up, using digital illustration and collage techniques.
Before our party, DJ'ed by Glasgow DJ Danyo, we had a panel discussion featuring Content Creator Etta May Olley, Student Researcher Iona Mercer, and Musician and Content Creator Josie Duncan. Initially, Purina Alpha, a Gaelic-speaking Drag performer was booked to perform, but had to pull out for personal reasons.

After making last minute changes to our line-up, Rome Mosaic, a Highland Dancing Drag artist was added to the bill and a new poster.

Being joined on stage by Josie, Etta May, and Iona for the panel. The banner above us reads, 'Our Language, Our Culture, Our Party'. The panel was livestreamed on Tiktok and the recording can be found on YouTube (and below!)
Rome's performance was moving and fun and beautiful all at once, and was really well received in the room.
i can't wait to plan more of these events in the future!
